Hello! Well, this is our first blog! I am not always savvy with computers and the Internet! And AJ for sure is not!
Anyway, over the weekend we competed in our third show together. It was our freestyle debut, which I was nervous, because I only had one week to practice after competing the I-1. I would have liked to have at least a month to really get to know the music and make any changes, but off we went! In WI, we have a short competition season, so sometimes, we need to go to the competition rather than wait.
My dear friend, Melanie Michalak, designed the beautiful ballet music that AJ and I dance too. She has designed all of my freestyle since I was a little girl of 12 years old. I am so lucky to know her as she is a wonderful person and has a great talent for choosing the music that fits my horses as well as having a dressage background. She is a talented dressage rider!
The funny thing in practice, AJ is totally afraid of his music! He loves to spook! When we competed last weekend, I was excepting a spook, but he was a confident dance partner in the ring. Not one spook!

We will be making chances, but I am so happy with him and the music! We earned one qualifying score of a 73%! I could not be happier!
